Maintenance Technician

Location [Portland/Salem/Vancouver] Multiple locations Role Summary We’re seeking an experienced hands‑on maintenance professional to install, troubleshoot, and repair hot‑side and cold‑side equipment across our different locations. Core platforms include flyers, breading stations, holding cabinets/warmers /ovens/toasters, and cold-side systems such as walk‑in/reach‑in coolers & freezers, ice machines, and beverage systems. HVAC experience is highly desirable but not required Responsibilities Service & repair all equipment in the stores Preventive Maintenance: Execute PM checklists on defined cadence (monthly/quarterly/semi‑annual) Emergency Response: Prioritize critical outages affecting food safety or sales Electrical/Plumbing Basics: Perform light electrical (120/208/240V, breakers, outlets, switches) and plumbing tasks (supply lines, drains, traps, faucets) within scope; escalate as needed. Facilities Tasks: Minor carpentry/patch & paint, hardware, door closers, ceiling tiles, caulking, and sealants; coordinate roof/hood/grease trap vendors as required. Inventory & Parts: Maintain truck stock; source parts with approved vendors; track serials, warranty, and asset tags. Communication: Provide timely updates to managers; recommend repair vs. replace decisions with cost/benefit rationale. Qualifications Experience: 3+ years in restaurant, hospitality, or commercial kitchen maintenance preferred (hot‑side and/or refrigeration). Technical Skills: Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals; strong troubleshooting fundamentals (electrical, mechanical, refrigeration basics) HVAC: Experience is a plus; willing to train the right candidate. Licensing: Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR; ability to pass background check as required.
