Material Planner

Description Required Duties/Tasks to be accomplished: Coordinating production workflow for ACTIA Electronics. Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay. Determining manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand. Ensuring that all requirements are met by the Supply Chain Department. Ensure that ERP/MRP is running according to planning and Procurement agents are compliant with MRP Process. Meet weekly with Purchasing group to review all open projects and discuss "big picture" objectives and course of action. (Purchasing could be in USA or France) Responsible for managing overall inventory levels, increasing inventory turns, while keep an uninterrupted flow of material for manufacturing. Develop and manage continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems. Miscellaneous Duties: Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements Interfaces with product line coordinators on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions Other duties as assigned Requirements Physical Demand: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Position Qualifications: The Planner must be highly motivated and organized individual with leadership and communication abilities. 3+ years' experience in logistics role or related experience Ability to lead team members Customer service-oriented Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems Knowledge of customer forecasting (EDI etc..)
