Title Dental hygienist Job Description What You’ll Do: • Assess gum health, check for signs of periodontal disease, and provide early intervention when needed. • Take and review digital X-rays to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. • Guide patients on proper brushing and flossing techniques for optimal at-home care. • Provide tailored recommendations for oral care products, such as electric toothbrushes, mouthwashes, and interdental cleaners. • Discuss the impact of nutrition and lifestyle habits (such as smoking, grinding, and sugar intake) on oral health. • Collaborate with dentists, assistants, and front office staff to create a seamless patient experience. • Maintain a positive and professional atmosphere, ensuring patients feel comfortable and valued. • Accurately document patient histories, exam findings, and treatment progress in digital records. •Work closely with the dentist to develop personalized treatment plans that align with each patient's needs. • Track and schedule follow-up visits to ensure patients receive continuous care. Salary Range part-time $40 - $46 per hour Salary based on Experience. Benefits 401(k) Paid time off What You’ll Get: • Paid Time Off • 401(k) Shift & Schedule Work Hours: • 2-3 days per week (15 – 35 hours) Requirements General Dentistry Licensed dental hygienist What We’re Looking For: • Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. • Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and general dentistry practices. • Familiarity with pediatrics is advantageous for working with younger patients. • Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; prior dental assisting experience is a plus. Preferences • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
