Director of Accounting

Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking a Director of Accounting to join their team.We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Accounting to join our growing client in Roswell, GA. In this key leadership role, you will oversee all aspects of the company's finance and accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. You will play a critical role in advising the CEO on key business decisions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the company's accounting operations, including:
• Cash applications and bank reconciliations
• General ledger maintenance and subledger accounting
• Monthly and year-end closings
• Preparation of financial statements
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Advise the CEO on financial matters and their impact on business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing accounting team.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong preference for experience within the insurance industry.
• Proven experience in preparing bordereaux.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
