Family Life Coordinator Full-time, Hourly – Miami, FL Job Summary The family life coordinator manages day‑to‑day administrative tasks on campus and oversees program clients, ensuring adherence to program rules, providing direct services or referrals, and working collaboratively with the team to make on‑the‑spot decisions. Essential Duties and Functions Collaborate with the Director of Single Moms to coordinate intake decisions for suitability in the Single Moms Program. Process phone inquiries and make appropriate referrals. Conduct client orientation and complete admissions paperwork. Assign or manage household needs, ensure program guidelines are followed, implement schedules, manage cottage budgets, and maintain safety procedures. Assess needs and determine placement suitability for families seeking admission to the Single Moms Program. Apply knowledge of healthy family dynamics, conflict resolution, problem‑solving, interpersonal skills, and child development. Build positive, nurturing relationships with families needing support services. Observe and accurately assess situations. Operate effectively under frequent interruptions and in stressful or crisis situations. Develop and implement individualized service plans for families in care. Assist in developing money‑management plans, life‑skills evaluations, and maintain client files. Provide for special client needs as outlined in the service plan. Facilitate or teach classes on vocational training, personal development, financial literacy, parenting, and other growth topics. Support trauma‑informed care principles among staff and clients. Lead or participate in skill meetings. Assess client progress and discuss discharge plans with the Director of Single Moms. Report non‑compliance with agency policies to senior leadership. Consult on issues arising during service and submit accurate, timely reports and database entries. Host volunteers, tour groups, and visitors; give presentations to churches and civic groups. Represent the Agency at community and professional organizations; assist with departmental training. Participate in training to stay abreast of innovative tools in the field. Maintain a flexible schedule to meet clients in evenings or weekends as needed. Recruit and manage mentors and volunteers. Work one to two evenings per week as required. Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor of Single Moms. Supervisory Responsibilities None Required Experience and Qualifications Minimum age 21 years. Bachelor’s degree in social work or an equivalent in the human services field. At least two years of professionally related experience. Current driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record (six points or less). Spiritual Qualifications Commit to Christ‑centered services consistent with the Christian context of the Baptist Faith and Message (2000). Have a personal conversion experience with Jesus Christ and be scripturally baptized. Show a commitment to ministry through vocation. Seek God and His kingdom with personal devotion. Regularly engage in Bible study, prayer, and daily meditation. Be a member of a New Testament, evangelical Church and attend regularly. Engage in witness activities as part of daily life. Physical Demands The role requires sitting, talking, handling, and reaching with hands and arms, occasionally walking. Vision requirements include close vision. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and work in stressful conditions while remaining focused for extended periods.
