Technical ERP Project Manager

Role: Technical ERP Project Manager (must have warehouse experience)

Location: Peachtree Corners, GA 30092 - 5 days onsite for first few weeks, then 3 days onsite/week

Duration: 12+ month contract to hire, probably closer to 18 months

Top 3 Required Skills:

• Solid Project Management abilities/experience and cross-functional stakeholder experience
• experience running a digital transformation like an ERP migration work with stakeholders, developers, and partners.
• Must have worked at a logistics or supply chain company to understand the business (WMS, 3PL, TMS, etc)

Must have strong domain knowledge , the PM understands the business operations the ERP is supporting, not just project management methodology. The specific ERP experience is irrelevant although they are on Great Plains now.

Responsibilities

Project Leadership

• Lead all technical phases of the ERP migration from Great Plains to a new accounting and operational platform.
• Develop and manage project plans, milestones, resource plans, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
• Coordinate activities across different departments; financial program manager (internal employee) will be on the finance side of the house.
• Drive project governance, status reporting, and executive communications.
• Facilitate steering committee meetings and key decision-making forums.

Requirements & Business Process Management

• Lead requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
• Document current-state processes and define future-state operating models.
• Identify process improvement opportunities
• Coordinate functional and technical requirements documentation.
• Manage scope and prioritize business needs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive the entire end to end transformation.

Logistics & Supply Chain Focus

• Partner with logistics and operations leaders to understand key business processes.
• Evaluate impacts to:
• Distribution operations
• Transportation and freight management
• Inventory management
• Order fulfillment
• Procurement and vendor management
• Warehouse operations
• Help determine appropriate system ownership between ERP and supporting applications.
• Ensure operational requirements are reflected in solution design decisions.

Implementation & Delivery

• Coordinate ERP vendors, implementation partners, consultants, and internal teams.
• Oversee data migration, integration, testing, training, and cutover activities.
• Manage issue logs, RAID logs, action items, and project deliverables.
• Track project health and proactively address risks and roadblocks.
• Support go-live readiness planning and post-implementation stabilization.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of Project Management experience leading enterprise business system initiatives.

Experience managing ERP implementation or migration projects.

Strong background in:
