Responsibilities:

• Promote Elara Carings philosophy, mission, and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
• Perform direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice and patients physician orders.
• Follow and verify Plan of Care as established and supervised by a Physical Therapist.
• Adhere to the State Practice Act Guidelines and established standards.
• Incorporate patient care goals into therapy and home program training.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on safe use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices.
• Work in a physically demanding environment requiring lifting, transferring patients, and positioning.
• May work irregular hours including call hours when applicable.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• 6+ months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
• Valid drivers license, dependable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Able and willing to travel within the assigned coverage area, up to 50%.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds.
