Job Overview BJC HealthCare seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Internal Medicine role at Memorial Belleville General Medicine (unit 2Center) in O'Fallon, Illinois. Employment type: Staff. Role Purpose Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the standards of nursing care. Responsibilities Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and families on managing illness or injury, including post‑treatment home‑care needs and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Engages in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team members, patients, families, or caregivers. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs. Qualifications Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's (No experience required). BSN preferred. Licenses & Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN).
