Base Pay Range $55.00/hr - $60.00/hr Contract, 6 months with potential to extend Weston, FL 33326 Must Have 5+ years in Corporate Accounting GAAP accounting Excel Nice to Have CPA Microsoft Dynamics Overview The Senior GL Accountant plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for the organization. This position supports core accounting operations, including the transition and integration of FP&A accrual processes into the accounting function. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improving processes and internal controls within a dynamic software company environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the transition of FP&A accrual processes into accounting, including ownership of booking, documentation, and process streamlining. Prepare and maintain reconciliations between sub-ledger and general ledger systems. Prepare non-recurring and recurring journal entries on a monthly and quarterly basis. Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts on a monthly and/or quarterly cadence, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Partner with the accounting team to identify, support, and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy. Maintain and continuously improve existing internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Assist with month-end close and other ad hoc projects as needed.
