Maintenance Mechanic- 40 Hours 6:00 AM- 2:30 PM

Job Summary Performs general maintenance, repair of building mechanical systems and equipment common to a healthcare facility. Carries out scheduled maintenance tasks and repairs as part of a coordinated PM program. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Provides first response to equipment and system issues that are the responsibility of the mechanical section including plumbing, bulb replacement, and leak response. Provides first response to electrical and HVAC system issues while working on an off shift. Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment common to healthcare facility maintenance. Performs record keeping requirements and written reports as part of a daily routine. Responds to emergencies such as floods, power outages, etc. during off hours if asked by department supervisors. Also participates in snow removal as required. Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. 0-1 years related work experience required. Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web‑based applications. Preferred Qualifications Basic plumbing knowledge and experience. Competencies Written Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written English with internal and external customers. Oral Communications: Ability to comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively with medical center staff, patients, families and external customers. Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate full working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, procedures and policies with the ability to use them in varied situations. Team Work: Ability to interact respectfully with other employees, professional staff and/or external contacts to offer ideas, identify issues, obtain information or deliver services. Customer Service: Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude and respond to requests in a timely and respectful manner. Physical Nature of the Job Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently. The job is physical in nature and the employee needs to stand and/or move around for the majority of their shift. Pay Range $30.00 – $40.38 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
