Senior Accountant

Jackson County, Indiana We are partnering with a growing and well-established organization to identify a talented Senior Accountant to join their finance team. Due to continued growth and business needs, our client is expanding their accounting function and seeking a professional who can contribute immediately while helping support the organization's future success. Salary $75,000 - $85,000+ Paid Time Off & Holidays Career growth and professional development opportunities Tuition Assistance Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, fixed asset schedules, and other supporting financial analyses. Perform general ledger account reconciliations, research discrepancies, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of outstanding items. Support month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, prepaids, account analysis, and journal entries. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Prepare reporting for subsidiaries, affiliated entities, and regulatory requirements as applicable. Audit, Compliance & Controls Assist with internal and external audits, examinations, and regulatory reviews by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, organizational policies, and applicable laws and regulations. Maintain accurate financial records while safeguarding confidential company, employee, and customer information. Business Partnership & Operational Support Collaborate with departments across the organization to support financial reporting, operational initiatives, and process improvements. Serve as a trusted resource for accounting-related questions and financial information. Provide backup support for key accounting functions and participate in special projects as assigned. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance accounting processes. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required 2+ years of accounting, finance, banking or related experience CPA certification preferred Experience supporting audits, budgeting, and financial reporting processes What We’re Looking For Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines. High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
