Overview

We are partnering with a well-established flooring contractor to identify a Residential Estimator responsible for preparing accurate project estimates and supporting successful project execution throughout the greater Baltimore region.

This is a hybrid, client-facing role based in Timonium, Maryland that includes approximately 40% travel to customer homes throughout the territory. Primary market coverage includes Baltimore, Towson, Timonium, Columbia, Annapolis, Bel Air, Westminster, and other surrounding Maryland communities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in residential flooring estimating with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional customer service.

This opportunity offers the chance to work with a collaborative team while helping homeowners, project managers, and installation teams successfully move projects from initial estimate through project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project documents, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to determine project scope
• Prepare accurate material takeoffs, estimates, pricing, and customer proposals using RFMS Core and Measure
• Manage bid schedules, deadlines, and estimating priorities
• Coordinate with vendors, manufacturer representatives, subcontractors, and internal teams to obtain competitive pricing and lead times
• Prepare pricing summaries and present recommendations to management and project teams
• Compile, submit, and track project submittals and related documentation
• Review final proposals and specifications to ensure complete and accurate project pricing
• Maintain knowledge of residential flooring products, installation methods, and site preparation requirements
• Develop strong working relationships with vendors, installers, and industry partners
• Analyze pricing trends, vendor costs, and market conditions to improve estimating accuracy
• Support project teams throughout the estimating and project startup process

Ideal Background

• Minimum of 2–5 years of flooring estimating experience required
• Proficiency with RFMS Core and RFMS Measure required
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
• High school diploma required
• Strong understanding of residential flooring products, installation methods, and estimating practices
• Excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization skills
• High attention to detail with strong analytical abilities
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer homes throughout the territory

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary of $62,000–$72,000 annually
