Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Roofing Estimator specializing in Re-Roofing to join our preconstruction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing site walks, roof condition assessments, and review of contract documents to prepare accurate, competitive, and thorough cost estimates for roof replacement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform site visits, field measurements, and roof condition assessments.

· Evaluate existing systems and recommend repair, restoration, or replacement options.

· Prepare takeoffs, estimates, budgets, and proposals for negotiated and competitive work.

· Develop scopes of work and review drawings, specifications, and reports.

· Present findings and recommendations to clients clearly and professionally.

· Build and maintain relationships with owners, facility managers, consultants, architects, and general contractors.

· Support business development through follow-up, lead conversion, and account growth.

· Coordinate with operations and project management during preconstruction and turnover.

· Identify value engineering opportunities and support capital planning.

· Stay current on roofing systems, codes, manufacturer requirements, and industry best practices.

· Calculate labor and equipment costs, factoring in project complexity, location, and timelines.

· Prepare bid proposals and submit estimates according to deadlines.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial roofing or construction estimating (roofing/building envelope systems preferred).

· Working knowledge of low-slope roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, BUR, and metal roofing.

· Understanding of roofing details, flashing, drainage, insulation, and waterproofing.

· Ability to read drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

· Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software such as PlanGrid, Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD, and The Edge.

· Comfort discussing budgets and solutions in a client-facing environment.
