Operations Manager

LHH is working with an industry leader in maritime shipping, shipbuilding & management, and terminal operations, who is looking for a Maritime Operations Manager to join their team. Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation. Effective verbal communication skills with the ability to present information and respond to questions from senior leadership, management teams, clients, customers, and the general public. Proficiency in basic mathematical functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems and manage multiple variables in environments with limited standardization. Ability to interpret and follow instructions provided in written, verbal, and scheduling formats. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred. Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Maritime Studies, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the marine transportation industry, with working knowledge of vessel liner service, breakbulk operations, containerized shipping, intermodal transportation, and/or cargo loading. Proven experience in container operations, including ship stability, cargo loading and planning, and the use of related software systems. Familiarity with Cargo Max, Mainsail 10, Spinnaker, and Traffic Control systems is preferred. Certifications such as Hazardous Materials, VSO/FSO, CTL/CLTD, or CPE are preferred.
