Associate Furnace Operator
Staffworks is hiring an Associate Furnace Operator!
Pay: $20.90/hour (includes 10% shift differential)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 2:00 PM–12:00 AM
What You'll Do
- Assist with setup and operation of vacuum atomization furnace equipment
- Prepare raw materials and operate furnace controls
- Perform cleaning, monitoring, housekeeping, and minor repairs
- Assist with furnace lid, coils, crucibles, and equipment maintenance
- Use electric hoists and work at heights up to 60 feet
- Follow all safety, EH&S, PPE, and respirator requirements
What We're Looking For
- U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills
- Reliable attendance
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. independently
- Comfortable working at heights and wearing a respirator
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, squat, twist, reach overhead, and climb stairs for extended periods
