Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in the care of Labor & Delivery patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and applicable state laws.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction.
• Document patient care activities in accordance with established standards of care.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Apply critical thinking skills to support patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required.
• High-risk Labor & Delivery experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience providing clinical expertise and guidance across units or departments in support of longitudinal patient care plans.
• Familiarity with shared governance models and unit-level performance improvement initiatives.
