Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologist performs a variety of imaging procedures, including Computed Tomography procedures, and is responsible for safety protocols.?Functions as the first line interface with patients. Participates in CQI activities.

What you will do in this role:

• Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock,?burns?and extraneous radiation to patients.?

• Determines?the most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.?

• Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures.?

• Works under the direction of the Radiologist?at all times.?

• Takes x-ray, CT call according to monthly schedule after the closing of regular department hours.?

• Competent in the use of CR and PACS.?

What qualifications you will need:

• Current ARRT Licensure in Diagnostic Radiology
• Current Louisiana State Licensure
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
• Associate degree required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• 1 years of radiologic/imaging experience?Required
• Specific training and experience in CT preferred
