This opportunity is ideal for an organized professional who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and collaborating with multiple teams.Job DescriptionThe Accounting Specialist will be responsible for reviewing financial information, researching discrepancies, maintaining accurate accounting records, and supporting the month-end closing process. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.Key ResponsibilitiesExamine cash and financial reports to identify discrepancies and make necessary adjustments.Investigate outstanding accounting issues and ensure corrections are properly completed and documented.Manage accounting-related service requests through resolution and closure.Track store-level reporting to ensure all required items are completed before the monthly financial close.Prepare and record journal entries when required.Coordinate with various accounting and operational departments to research transactions and resolve financial discrepancies.Communicate with field leadership and operational personnel to gather information and address accounting-related questions.Analyze financial data and investigate unusual or inconsistent activity.Maintain organized documentation supporting accounting adjustments and resolutions.Assist with month-end activities and other accounting projects as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.Advanced Excel skills required.0-1 years of experience in accounting related role preferred.Strong numerical reasoning and attention to detail.Ability to independently prioritize tasks and meet established deadlines.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to research issues and follow through until resolution.Comfortable collaborating with multiple departments and levels of an organization.Previous experience in accounting, reconciliation, financial operations, or a related field is preferred.
