Accounting Specialist – Part-Time / TemporaryOur client, a rapidly growing organization in Dallas, Texas, is seeking an experienced and adaptable Accounting Specialist to join their team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the company's financial operations and growth.Quick factsLocation: OnsitePay: $25.00 – $30.00 / hour (open based on experience)Schedule: Part-time, 2.5 days per week (20–24 hours/week, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM); onsite presence required on the 1st and 2nd business days of the monthPosition type: Temporary / Contract (6–9 months)Start date: ImmediateWhy you'll like this jobFlexible, collaborative environment working alongside tenured industry professionalsGreat part-time schedule with steady hours and key involvement in high-volume month-end processesOpportunity to gain exposure to enterprise-level software systems during an exciting system integrationWhat you'll doFinancial Operations: Handle core Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions.Month-End Close: Assist the team through a 10-day month-end close process and fiscal year-end closeout.System Data Management: Navigate and maintain financial records in GreatPlains (GL, AP, AR) and specialized tools like CaterEase, MergeEdge, and DocuWare.Software Transition: Support daily accounting tasks while the team implements and transitions to SAP S/4HANA.Team Collaboration: Maintain clear, honest, and transparent communication with leadership and team members during transition workflows.What you needExperience: 5+ years of strong, practical accounting experience (ideally dual focus in AR and AP).Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.Adaptability: Ability to hit the ground running, absorb new procedures quickly, and work flexibly with a tenured team.Reliability: Availability to work onsite standard business hours, especially during critical month-end periods.Background Check: Completion of standard onboarding background check.Nice to have: Experience with GreatPlains, SAP S/4HANA, or hospitality industry accounting platforms.Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $25.00 - $30.00Apply NowAll compensation and pay rates are dependent upon skills and experience.
