The ideal candidate will support the shipping department by managing shipping documentation, coordinating shipments, and assisting with inventory tracking to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process shipping documents including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
- Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory in the company's tracking systems.
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipment status and delivery schedules.
- Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies and issues promptly.
- Support the shipping team with general administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in logistics or office administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or office administration preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and shipping software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures.
