We are a global company, and our products—including mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles and accessories—can be found all over the world.In this role as a Safety Coordinator here at JLG, you will play a vital part in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace by conducting industrial hygiene evaluations, developing and delivering safety training, and serving as a trusted safety and environmental resource across our production facility. Your expertise will help drive continuous improvement in regulatory compliance, injury prevention, and best practices company-wide.Your ImpactConduct safety audits of facilities to pinpoint unsafe working conditions, behaviors and practices and develop sound recommendations for correctionsInvestigate injury reports and follow-up to ensure corrective action is takenCoordinate industrial hygiene testing and implement corrective action, if requiredOversee safety-related training that is required to remain in compliance with all applicable regulationUpdate management on the status of JLG's safety program through monthly and quarterly reportsStrengthen and lead the Company's ergonomics programCoordinate the services of insurance carriers and outside consulting personnelOrganize, plan, and steer the Safety Representative Program to ensure that JLG employees are provided with a safe workplaceWork closely with our Health Services Manager on worker's compensation concernsMaintain an active role on our Safety Implementation TeamCoordinate with manufacturing, engineering, etc., on the design and construction of new equipment, facilities and processes to insure safe designDevelop and recommend general accident prevention programs to include specific protective procedures and devicesMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Safety or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experienceInternship experienceAbility to work Monday through Friday from 6:00am up to 4:30pm. Weekends on call as needed.Standout QualificationsBilingual in SpanishPrior experience in a manufacturing/production facilityBackground in environmental regulationsMust be willing to travel to various plant locationsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to perform basic statistical analysis and interpret dataWorking ConditionsThis position is based in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, or temperature fluctuations.The role may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, lifting items up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, climbing, or using tools and equipment.Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required.Visual and auditory acuity are needed for safe equipment operation and effective communication in a busy workspace.Reasonable accommodations will be considered for qualified individuals with disabilities to ensure access to all essential job functions.Pay Range:$51,400.00 - $79,200.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
