Sales Development Manager, Infectious Disease - Ohio

Abbott seeks a Sales Development Manager for Infectious Disease diagnostics in Ohio to drive new business acquisition across hospital networks, clinics, and urgent care settings. The role focuses exclusively on identifying untapped accounts, building relationships, and converting opportunities for rapid and molecular diagnostic products.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage zero-billing accounts within Ohio territory to generate new business
• Develop territory strategy, conduct lead generation, qualify prospects, and close sales
• Manage sales funnel documentation and forecasting through Salesforce and Power BI
• Train and support third-party distributor sales forces on Abbott product lines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, medical affairs, and contracts on customer solutions

Requirements

• Strong background in clinical diagnostics or related healthcare sales
• Proven new business development and account penetration experience
• Ability to cold call, qualify prospects, and manage full sales cycles
• Territory planning and pipeline management skills with CRM proficiency
• Analytical ability and Microsoft Office/Power BI competency
• Knowledge of hospital laboratory, emergency department, and physician office environments
