Position Overview

Seeking an experienced CVICU/CTVICU Registered Nurse to provide high-acuity critical care for post-operative cardiac and vascular surgery patients in a fast-paced Level I Trauma and teaching hospital environment. Candidates must be comfortable managing advanced cardiac support devices and complex ICU patient populations.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU/CVICU experience required
• CVICU experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Certifications Required:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
• Pending state license accepted
• COVID-19 vaccination required
  • Religious and medical exemptions accepted with completed exemption documentation

Scheduling & Float Requirements

• Weekend rotation as needed
• No on-call requirement
• Floating required within scope:
  • Other ICUs
  • PCU
  • ED holding/admitted patients
  • PACU holding/admitted patients
• Block scheduling not guaranteed

Additional Details

• No local candidates within 100 miles
• RTO requests greater than 7 days require approval
• Facility may call off up to 3 shifts during a 13-week assignment
• OT paid after 48 hours for contracts signed on or after 10/30/2025
• Travelers completing 4 consecutive assignments or 1 year of service must take a 6-month break before returning
