Operations Manager Trainee

Overview As a Customer Service Coordinator, you will be part of a dynamic team at Ryder, managing customer relationships, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring customer satisfaction in the transportation and logistics industry. Location & Schedule Location: Baton Rouge, LA. Shift: Tuesday – Saturday, 7:00am – 3:30pm. Responsibilities Manage customer relationship activities by providing quality customer interface, proactive customer management, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction. Coordinate with the rental department to ensure maximum utilization without compromising lease customers. Partner with Sales staff on customer calls for new business and increased customer satisfaction. Manage running costs and maintenance overheads, ensuring policies and processes are followed to optimize costs. Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction. Ensure accurate preventive maintenance scheduling, follow‑up, breakdowns, and vehicle status updates; oversee technician work planning for efficiency, training, and flexibility. Additional Responsibilities Relocate within the business unit at the conclusion of the training program. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Detail‑oriented with excellent follow‑up practices. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Capable of multi‑tasking, highly organized, with excellent time‑management skills and the ability to prioritize work. Flexible, self‑driven, and able to excel in a fast‑paced environment. Strong mechanical skills. Effective interpersonal and influencing skills. Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. 1 year or more in customer service with issue resolution experience (preferred).
