Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s operational goals and objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility’s equipment. Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair production machines and facility. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Perform regular preventive maintenance and calibration on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Use a variety of hand and power tools, meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Comply with OSHA safety and health rules. Perform other related duties as directed KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Understanding of company policies and business practices including industry standards, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO requirements, health and safety. Team player capable of successfully interacting at all levels with peers, seniors & subordinates in the successful resolution of day-to-day operations issues. Capability to work independently, handle changing priorities and short time constraints. Ability to work hours, as required, that are appropriate to completing projects and tasks as assigned on schedule. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic working with production machinery. A valid driver’s license and a good driving record. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Manufacturing: Work involves use of manufacturing equipment or close proximity to equipment. May be exposure to some routine manufacturing related substances.
