Position Overview
Gunnison Valley Health - Senior Care Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in a long-term care/skilled nursing setting.
The RN will assist with and supervise day-to-day nursing activities during the assigned shift while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, facility policies, and standards of care. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care.

This assignment is located in rural Gunnison, Colorado , where public transportation is not readily available. Travelers must have access to reliable transportation for the duration of the assignment.

Position Overview
Gunnison Valley Health - Senior Care Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in a long-term care/skilled nursing setting.
The RN will assist with and supervise day-to-day nursing activities during the assigned shift while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, facility policies, and standards of care. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nursing activities during the assigned shift.
- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care/skilled nursing environment.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and applicable regulatory standards.
- Monitor residents' conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to support resident care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Support the Director of Nursing and facility leadership in maintaining quality care standards.

- Active Colorado RN license required.
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required.
- Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred.
- BLS/BCLS certification required.
- Must meet all facility and regulatory requirements.
- Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) check required.
