Kaleidoscope Child Care Center in Bridgeville, PA is looking for a passionate and nurturing Head Preschool Teacher to lead our vibrant early childhood classroom! This is an exciting opportunity to shape young minds, foster creativity, and make a lasting impact during the most formative years of a child's development. If you love building meaningful connections with children and families, we'd love to meet you! Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate, developmentally focused lesson plans and curricula for preschool-aged children
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning through play
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
- Monitor and document children's developmental progress and communicate updates to families
- Maintain open, positive communication with parents and guardians through daily interactions and conferences
- Ensure classroom compliance with state licensing regulations and child care health and safety standards
- Collaborate with center staff and administration to support program goals and continuous improvement
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed preschool or child care setting
- Knowledge of PA state child care regulations and NAEYC developmentally appropriate practices
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong classroom management and early childhood curriculum development skills
- Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children
- Ability to pass required background checks per Pennsylvania child care licensing requirements
