Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer immediate emergency care, including assessments, interventions, and stabilization techniques.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate leadership by prioritizing patient needs and delegating tasks as needed, potentially assuming charge nurse duties.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, treatments, and interventions using MEDITECH electronic health records.
  
  
• 
  Assess patient safety needs, including safe patient mobility with lifts and transfer equipment.
  
  
• 
  Stay current with certifications such as lethal dysrhythmia, defibrillation, IV, medication, and phlebotomy during orientation.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess a valid NYS RN license with current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Have at least 13 weeks of recent emergency department travel nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, with critical care and charge nurse experience preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate ability to identify and respond to life-threatening situations with clinical and problem-solving skills.
  
  
• 
  Show strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  
  
• 
  Ability to successfully pass a lethal dysrhythmia exam and become defibrillation certified within six months.
