CAD Tool Specialist for AI Research

CAD Tool Specialist applies CAD software expertise to AI research projects, providing domain knowledge that helps AI systems better understand real-world CAD and design workflows. You will work remotely and asynchronously on short-term, project-based engagements that open throughout the year.

• Use your CAD domain knowledge to help improve AI model behavior and outputs for professional CAD tasks.
• Develop domain-specific prompts designed for CAD workflows and tooling.
• Evaluate and score large language model responses for accuracy, usefulness, and alignment with CAD best practices.
• Contribute to project tasks as assigned, which may vary by engagement and evolve over time.

• At least 1+ years of full-time work experience using one or more CAD tools, for example: AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoDesk Inventor Pro, Rhino 3D, LibreCAD, SolveSpace, or related technical tools.
• Practical familiarity with CAD workflows and terminology sufficient to assess model outputs and create domain-relevant prompts.
• Ability to collaborate asynchronously with AI research teams and complete tasks independently.

• Location: Remote, work from anywhere.
• Employment type: PART_TIME.
• Asynchronous schedule with flexible hours, there is no minimum hourly commitment.
• Projects are offered year-round, with opportunities opening periodically across different specialties.
• Placement into specific projects depends on project availability and fit.

Up to $125/hr (depending on the project)

• F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate. Consult your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
• If your school requires CPT enrollment in a course, this program may not meet that requirement.
• STEM OPT is not supported for this program.
