Shift: 6:45 PM - 6:45 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Tennessee license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:

Clinician’s claimed residence must match the address on the driver’s license to receive travel rate. Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/Tdap declinations.

Special Requests: - Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. - Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.

Required Credentials: - Driver’s license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. - Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed. - Ascension Medical Surgical Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed. - Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test.

Unit Details: - Surgical observation unit caring primarily for women’s oncology surgical patients with observation stays of 24 hours or less. - Patient population includes women undergoing hysterectomy (open and robotic), vulvectomy, mastectomy, lumpectomy, reconstruction, and thyroid cancer surgery; also includes general med/surg patients. - Adult population ages 18 and older.

Floating Requirements: - May float to different units or facilities within a 35-mile radius of the original assignment based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity; travelers will be notified before the scheduled shift if floating is required.

2 Charge/Lead references required
