Job Summary

We are seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant / Receptionist to join our team! This is a high-volume, fast-paced clinic , and the ideal candidate must be comfortable multitasking, staying organized under pressure, and maintaining efficiency throughout the day .

In this role, you will support both clinical and front office operations . As a Medical Assistant, you will prepare for patient visits by organizing charts and notes, assist providers with patient care, and help ensure timely follow-up on labs and treatments. As a Receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage scheduling, answer phones, and ensure smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, thrives in a busy medical environment, and is proactive, dependable, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

 

• Prepare for patient visits by pulling charts, reviewing notes, and setting up medical equipment 
• Assist providers and nursing staff with basic medical care and procedures 
• Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain exam rooms 
• Track lab results and ensure timely follow-up with patients 
• Assist with calling in prescriptions and coordinating care 

Front Office / Reception Duties:

 

• Greet patients and provide a welcoming, professional first impression 
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow 
• Verify patient information, insurance, and documentation 
• Handle patient inquiries and direct calls appropriately 
• Maintain organization of front desk operations in a high-volume setting 

 
Qualifications

 

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
• BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant (preferred) 
• Previous medical office or receptionist experience preferred 
• Excellent customer service and communication skills 
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
