Allied Health Professional DutiesTotal Rewards of an Allied Health Professional Duties include but are not limited to:Incumbents must screen/receive phone calls in a courteous and timely manner, determine the nature of requests and provide the information desired using privacy rules and established clinic processes.Notifies his/her supervisor when clinic access is less than desirable or if an individual patient cannot be scheduled within mandated clinic timeframes.Incumbent develops and maintains effective working relationships with all clinical and administrative staff in determining priorities of activities in support of direct patient care.Incumbent must have the knowledge to assume the role of an Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA) within any clinical service overseen by the Health Administration Service (Primary Care, Surgical care, Specialty Care, Extended Care, as well as Lab and Radiology Services) during special projects or heavy workload, for leave, vacancies, or when the AMSA is detailed to fill-in other areas.Generates patient workload reports for validation and monitors activity in clinical areas to assure consistent and accurate reporting.Interprets and applies to a complex body of pertinent laws, regulations, directives, and policies that relate to the administration of VA Healthcare Benefits.Daily review of active/pending consults, RTC, VAOS, Open Encounters, run 30, 60, 90-day reports, and Audio care communications for accuracy and disposition.Coordinates administrative services for veterans, family members, caregivers and clinical staff to ensure continuity of inpatient and outpatient care.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 0745 - 1630Recruitment/Relocation Incentives (Sign-on Bonus): Not AuthorizedPermanent Change of Station (Relocation Assistance): Not AuthorizedPay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases.
