Therapist - Athletic Trainer

Job Summary:

The Athletic Trainer provides specialized healthcare services to student-athletes, working closely with coaches, parents, physicians, and school staff to prevent, evaluate, and treat injuries. This role ensures safe participation in sports and maintains comprehensive medical documentation.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess injuries and illnesses to determine appropriate treatment and rehabilitation needs.
  
  
• 
  Develop and monitor individualized injury rehabilitation plans for student-athletes.
  
  
• 
  Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with medical professionals.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with industry standards.
  
  
• 
  Provide coverage during practices, competitions, and all school-sponsored athletic events.
  
  
• 
  Assist in making safe return-to-play decisions based on clinical evaluations.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid athletic trainer license through Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses (DOPL).
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1 year of athletic training experience.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work evening hours (starting around 3 pm on weekdays) and variable weekend shifts.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate excellent communication skills with multidisciplinary teams.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current certifications required for athletic trainers in Idaho.
  
  
• 
  Willingness to travel within a 50-mile radius for coverage.
