Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Description: 2 years experience. ACLS, BLS required. 36 Hours Every other weekend High Intensity Care Unit (HICU) (Vent/Pulmonary Care/Acute Rehab): Comprised of 20 semiprivate rooms and can accommodate up to 40 patients. A team approach is taken to provide care for patients, who may require attention for an acute brain injury, need respiratory assistance or special monitoring or require rehabilitation. Patients are monitored for cardiac conditions and serious complex conditions. The unit accepts patients 18 years of age or older. Unit provides 24/7 respiratory care, diagnostics, medical treatment and rehabilitation services to patients experiencing chronic disease or complex medical conditions. When patients in an acute care setting, such as an intensive care unit, require an extended stay and multidisciplinary treatment, they can transition to this unit for care.

Facility Details: Extremely strict on time and attendance policies. Zero tolerance for tardiness and unexcused absences. Must work every other holiday. The holidays for this rule are as follows: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas. Blackout dates: Super Bowl Sunday, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Black Friday, Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve are hard to staff, so RTO approvals will be limited. Requires 1 year of experience, except HICU which requires 2 years. Valid Maryland or Compact license required at time of submission. References required. Locals accepted at same rate. Candidates will float within hospital, within scope. Copy of certifications. Return staff must be gone for at least 1 year and will be reviewed case by case. Modules are billable up to 4 hours and factored in NBO. Modules are completed virtually on first day of contract and annually, modules do not vary by specialty. Modules are recorded via transcripts.
