Mammography Technologist

Role: Mammography Technologist responsible for providing high-quality, safe imaging services in a collaborative healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Perform mammography exams following physician orders and protocols, ensuring patient safety, privacy, and comfort. Gather patient history, screen for contraindications, and clearly explain procedures to reduce anxiety. Review images for quality and completeness, maintaining first-time acceptance standards. Operate mammography equipment safely, optimize imaging techniques, and ensure equipment readiness. Conduct and document quality control tests, label images accurately, and manage documentation in PACS/RIS systems. Support infection control, maintain a clean and stocked suite, and assist with patient transfers. Provide pre- and post-exam instructions, address patient questions, and support team training. Communicate professionally within a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and radiation safety. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum 1 year of radiologic technologist experience, including mammography in a hospital setting. Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS (American Heart Association).
