The Mammography Technologist will be responsible for performing mammography screenings. Essential Functions Perform mammography screenings in accordance with established protocols and procedures. Position patients correctly and ensure proper compression during mammogram procedures. Operate mammography equipment and perform quality assurance check to ensure image quality and accuracy. Perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for good high-quality images. Educate patients about mammography procedures and answer any questions or concerns they may have. Adhere to safety protocols and radiation protection standards to minimize risks to patients and staff. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Other duties as assigned Qualifications New York State license in Radiologic Technology. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Mammography.
