Job Description

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required, with Mammography certification (ARRT-M) required
  • State radiologic technology license (as applicable)
  • BLS certification required
  • 1+ years of mammography experience required
  • Compliance with MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) continuing education requirements
Duties:
  • Perform diagnostic and screening mammography exams per physician orders, ensuring positioning accuracy and image quality
  • Educate patients on procedures and address concerns with sensitivity and professionalism
  • Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring compliance with QA/QC standards
  • Assist with breast biopsy and localization procedures as needed
  • Review patient history and prior imaging for comparison and continuity of care
  • Ensure radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles are followed
  • Accurately document exams and maintain patient records in RIS/PACS systems
  • Collaborate with radiologists on findings and follow-up imaging needs
  • Maintain MQSA compliance documentation and facility accreditation standards
