Assistant Bakery Manager

Overview Assistant Bakery Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market provides excellent customer satisfaction through the leadership of Bakery Clerks and assists the Bakery Manager in daily supervision of Bakery Department operations. Responsibilities Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays Monitor incoming cases for damaged items Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery products Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate and maintain deli equipment Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Bakery team members are also aware of and following these procedures Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a positive team atmosphere Qualifications Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years of retail grocery experience and two years of supervisory experience Be dependable with the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers Have good communication skills; ability to give and take direction in a team environment Be able to answer phones and take special orders Perform general housekeeping in the department and sanitize work areas (including tables, floors, walls, cases, coolers, freezers, etc.) Be able to operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed; weigh and label products accurately Be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to specified weights as required by the role Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and achieve/maintain a Food Handlers permit Pay Pay range: $17.30 - $24.20 per hour. Pay is determined based on applicable experience and qualifications.
