Overview Location: 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, California, United States Position: Assistant City Manager Employer: City of Tracy, California The City of Tracy is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and emotionally intelligent municipal leader to serve as its next Assistant City Manager. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a strong and collaborative executive team and help shape the future of a thriving and forward-looking Central Valley community. Responsibilities Reporting to the City Manager, the Assistant City Manager will serve as a strategic partner in advancing Council priorities, supporting departments, strengthening organizational culture, and guiding major initiatives, including economic development efforts and a comprehensive General Plan update. Qualifications & Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will bring broad municipal experience, sound judgment, political awareness, and exceptional relationship-building skills. Tracy seeks a trusted thought partner who combines operational expertise with strategic leadership, high emotional intelligence, integrity, and a genuine commitment to public service.
