Job Description

Midwest Precision is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations at our precision machining facility. This position is responsible for meeting production schedules while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, delivery, and team performance.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors, leads, and team members.

• Direct daily production activities and address issues that affect output or delivery.

• Monitor capacity, labor utilization, machine performance, downtime, scrap, and rework.

• Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Human Resources to keep work moving and resolve problems.

• Set clear expectations, provide performance feedback, and support employee training and accountability.

• Drive continuous improvement in workflow, productivity, and manufacturing processes.

• Ensure work is performed in accordance with safety procedures, customer requirements, and applicable quality system requirements, including AS9100 and ISO standards.

What We’re Looking For

• At least five years of manufacturing leadership experience, including three years in a supervisory or management role.

• Experience managing production schedules, people, and operational performance.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and coaching skills.

• Familiarity with ERP systems, production metrics, and continuous improvement practices.

• Experience in precision machining, aerospace, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment preferred.

• A bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, operations, engineering, business, or a related field preferred; relevant experience will be considered.
