Position SummaryNDM Hospitality - Rentyl Resorts is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to own the accounting function for two managed operating assets, Island Oaks Resort and Pine Royale, spanning hospitality, food & beverage, and property operations. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this role owns the month-end close, delivers accurate financial reporting and analysis to leadership and ownership, and maintains a strong internal control environment. It is ideal for a hands-on manager who can both review the details and elevate the numbers into insight.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & ReviewSupervise, mentor, and develop staff accountant(s) supporting the resort portfolioReview and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting workpapers prepared by staffOwn and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close calendar, ensuring deadlines are metReview the financial package for accuracy and completeness before it is distributed to leadership and ownershipFinancial Reporting & AnalysisConduct variance analysis (budget vs. actual) and provide insights to leadershipGenerate and present timely, accurate reporting for internal stakeholders and ownershipAnalyze financial data to identify trends and operational efficienciesProvide financial analysis to support decision-making and profitability improvementsBudgeting, Forecasting & ControlsLead the annual budget process and periodic forecasts in partnership with operationsOwn cash flow forecasting and monitor liquidity across the portfolioMaintain and enforce internal controls and company accounting policiesIdentify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracyAccounting OversightOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and billing processesOversee hospitality and revenue accounting, including PMS/POS reconciliation, folio accounting, and revenue recognitionEnsure all accounting activities comply with GAAP standardsReview and approve vendor payments and disbursements above established thresholdsAudit & ComplianceManage any annual audits, coordinate the prepared-by-client (PBC) list, and serve as primary liaison with external auditorsEnsure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and hospitality/real estate regulationsComplete occupancy / Tourist Development Tax and state sales tax filingsQualificationsEducationBachelor 's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)CPA strongly preferred; CHAE a plusExperience6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and ownership of month-end close2+ years supervising or reviewing the work of other accountantsHospitality (hotel, resort, RV, or mixed-use property) strongly preferred; property management or real estate a plusMulti-entity or multi-property accounting experience preferredSkills & CompetenciesTechnical SkillsStrong command of GAAP and financial reportingFamiliarity with the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI) preferredAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modeling, analysis)Experience with the Oracle NetSuite accounting system (multi-entity / OneWorld a plus)Experience with the Newbook Property Management system and Clover Point of Sale systemAbility to own the general ledger, financial statements, and the close processLeadership & Operational SkillsProven ability to manage, review, and develop accounting staffStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process-improvement mindsetAbility to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentCollaboration & CommunicationStrong cross-functional partnership with operations, front office, leadership, and ownershipAbility to translate financial data into actionable insight for non-financial stakeholdersHigh attention to detail, organization, and accountability for team deliverablesWhy Join Rentyl ResortsThis role offers ownership of the accounting function across a unique and growing resort portfolio, including:Resort and RV park operationsFood & beverage revenue streamsHigh-impact financial reporting and analysis presented to ownershipLeadership of a growing accounting team with property expansions aheadYou'll play a key leadership role in ensuring financial accuracy, strengthening controls, and driving business performance across the portfolio.NDM Hospitality Rentyl Resorts is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
