Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with standard practices.
• Explain procedures to patients to create a comfortable environment and foster trust.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of collection and processing activities.
• Perform specimen collection and processing duties confidently, demonstrating process excellence and adherence to confidentiality standards.
• Support a safe, professional, and welcoming environment in the clinical setting.
• Assist with maintaining organizational standards and promote a positive image to patients and staff.

Required Skills

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic keyboard and data entry skills for accurate record-keeping.
• Effective communication skills to explain procedures and build trust with patients.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of direct phlebotomy experience required; over one year preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.
• Reliable transportation to the worksite within a 20-25 minute commute.
• Must be available and punctual for scheduled shifts, with a strong focus on attendance and professionalism.
