Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, in a safe and skillful manner
• Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient
• Prepare samples for laboratory testing following established procedures
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of collection activities
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining procedures and fostering a trusting environment
• Travel between multiple sites as needed, covering scheduled shifts and providing flexibility for different locations
• Support a safe, professional, and confidential environment in all interactions

Required Skills

• Proven ability to perform phlebotomy accurately and efficiently across diverse patient populations
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Capable of handling high-volume specimen collection processes

Additional Skills & Requirements

• 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Reliable transportation; being dropped off by bus, Uber, or rideshare is not considered reliable
• Floaters must be willing to travel between multiple sites and submit mileage for reimbursement
