Title: Certified Medical Assistant
Active Medical Assistant Certification Required

Position Details:

• Full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity
• Schedule: 7:30/8:00 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM
• Pay range: $20-$22/hour depending on experience
• Must be able to rotate between Newnan and Peachtree City office locations
• Phlebotomy experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the delivery of patient care in a clinical setting
• Room patients and prepare them for examination
• Obtain and document vital signs, weight, BMI, and patient history
• Assist patients with specimen collection as needed
• Complete required forms, requisitions, and consent documentation
• Accurately document all patient information in the EMR system
• Elicit and record detailed medical information, including health history, medication changes, and chief complaints
• Ensure all health information is recorded accurately, timely, and consistently
• Prepare patient charts prior to appointments, including retrieving labs, imaging, test results, and hospital records
• Request medical records for new patients
• Perform phlebotomy procedures if experienced (preferred)
• Call in or electronically send prescriptions and refills per provider direction
• Maintain exam rooms by stocking supplies and equipment daily
• Identify and promptly notify providers of critical diagnostic data
• Respond to patient questions regarding procedures and medications within scope of practice
• Handle all phone communications accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner
• Maintain knowledge of patient programs and scheduling processes (e.g., chronic kidney disease education, nutrition programs, and other patient services)
• Communicate information clearly, concisely, and professionally with patients, providers, and team members
