Regional Foodservice Sales Manager West Coast

Burnett Dairy Cooperative – Job Description Position Title: West Coast Regional Foodservice Manager Business Unit: Dairy Class: Managers Supervisor: VP of Sales/Food Service Position Purpose: The role of the West Coast Regional Foodservice Manager is to generate profitable and sustainable volume on Burnett Dairy Cooperative’s foodservice cheese portfolio focusing on Pizzeria’s in the assigned geography. Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities: This is an outside sales position with the responsibly of developing new business and retaining current business. The responsibilities include but are not to: Identifying prospective customers by utilizing market intelligence databases, Make sales presentations to prospects by showcasing the features, advantages, and benefits of the portfolio and Burnett Dairy, Identifying distributors who would be ideal partners to stock the portfolio Identify leads by working closely with the distributor salespeople and building relationships with them as added resource to their territory, Routinely visit existing customers to maintain business relationships Participate in local or regional food shows, product demos, and sales trainings as needed Manage regional brokers within the territory, which includes but is not limited to: Set sales targets and review the numbers with them quarterly Work with their sales teams to conduct sales calls to qualified prospects Assist in onboarding new distributors and customers. Function as liaison between Burnett Dairy and customers, collecting customer insights that will help in creating value add programs to support and grow the customers business Using the Sales Force CRM tool; document sales records, distributor information and report competitive activity within assigned territory Achieve assigned quarterly growth goals in volume sales, and new account increases, while making sure distributor partners stay within their credit terms. Understand, embrace and encourage the fulfillment of our company values with associates and customers Additional Responsibilities: Maintains plant policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with company food safety policies, and State and Federal regulations for food safety Follow all company policies and procedures All other duties as appropriate for this position Job Requirements: Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related discipline Minimum of 3 years foodservice sales experience, Italian channel background a plus Skills: Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to function in an active and demanding work environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy. Availability: Regular and dependable attendance is required. This position is primarily scheduled during daytime hours; however, evening and weekend availability may be required for special circumstances or business needs.
