Maintenance AssistantWe are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at AdviniaCare Summit Commons in Providence, RI. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times. If you are mechanically inclined, can work independently, and prioritize tasks effectively, we encourage you to apply for this full-time position.Responsibilities:Maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient mannerRecognize hazards to residents or staff safety and take appropriate action to maintain a safe environmentOrganize and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completionReplace, repair, and purchase items according to facility policy and procedurePlan and implement preventive maintenance programs and document accuratelyMaintain weather protection against cold, heat, fire, and other hazardsSupervise outside contractorsServe on-call for emergency and off-duty hoursPerform errands and tasks as requiredMaintain upkeep of exterior of building and grounds in all weather conditionsOther tasks assigned by managerial teamRequirements:High school diploma or its equivalentGeneral background in repair and maintenanceAbility to read, write, and comprehend the English languageAbility to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticismAbility to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general publicAbility to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of maintenance areasAbility to work harmoniously with other personnel and handle residents based on their maturity levelAbility to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.Ability to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing maintenance practicesAbility to follow written and oral instructionsAbility to relate information concerning a resident's conditionSufficient mechanical abilities to handle facility maintenance needs with little outside contract useWhat We Offer:Competitive salary range of $20 - $25 HOURLYOpportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environmentProfessional growth and development opportunitiesIf you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for maintenance and customer service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
