Regular Full‑Time | The Bronx, NY, US Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $85,000.00 Annually Position H.O. Penn Machinery HIRING IMMEDIATELY – CAT Rental Sales Representative Bronx, NY On‑Target Earnings (OTE) for year 1: $85,000 + Uncapped Commission Up to $55,000 base salary (based on relevant experience) Uncapped commission potential Up to $30,000 annually during the first year (in addition to base pay) Long‑term income growth tied directly to territory performance H.O. Territory Brooklyn Medical/dental/vision insurance 401(k) with company match Company‑provided cellphone, laptop, and vehicle Paid time off and company holidays Key Qualifications We are seeking a highly motivated self‑starter, results‑driven individual that possesses the following qualifications: Knowledge of equipment rental business (experience within rental sales highly preferred) Ability to prospect and cultivate new accounts – strong business development skills Strong organizational experience to manage leads, customer information, and sales records effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers PC proficient, including high proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office and other software Good influencing skills and economically motivated Must have a valid driver’s license for travel – this is an outside sales position Responsibilities Achievement of overall branch goals through promotion of profitable rental of Cat & Allied equipment, and sales of Allied equipment in the assigned sales territory. Continually identify and contact new and existing customers in the assigned territory to influence their buying and rental decision making consistent with H.O. Penn Cat Rental Store's business goals Provide high quality and cost‑effective coverage of the assigned territory, including servicing of existing accounts and developing new accounts within the various market segments represented in the territory Effectively use all selling tools, including the telephone, computer, software, wireless communications and other means to promote the features, benefits and overall value of Caterpillar and allied equipment and the total product and service offerings at H.O. Penn Cat Rental Store Work collaboratively with other sales & rental team members, including Inside Sales Reps and Rental Coordinators, to accurately and efficiently process rental and sales orders, address customer concerns and maximize rental and sales business and growth Work cooperatively with other Rental & Sales Reps to maximize geographic sales coverage Maintain accurate data on the activities of customers within the territory and communicate all relevant information to other members of the H.O. Penn Cat Rental Store Rental & Sales team Maximize the H.O. Penn Cat Rental Store's share of the total rental business of each existing customer Develop, maintain and communicate a comprehensive awareness of the state of the construction industry as well as all competitive activity within the territory effectively utilizing Dodge and other marketing reports and data Become an integral part of the customer's business, represent the customer's need to H.O. Penn and seek solutions consistent with H.O. Penn's mission and goals Work closely with other members of H.O. Penn's team to maximize customer service Continuously develop product/industry knowledge and business acumen Physical Requirements Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time Hand coordination for typing, writing, and computer use Occasional forward bending and reaching Occasional walking and climbing stairs Carrying up to 20 lbs.
