The Worship Pastor helps Century Assembly carry out its mission by leading the congregation into authentic worship, cultivating a Christ‑centered culture of excellence in music and production, and developing worship leaders and teams that embody our vision, mission, and habitudes. Requirements Worship Leadership and Vocal Excellence: A strong vocalist who can lead, not merely perform, and guide the congregation into meaningful, Spirit‑led worship. Able to discern the room, create space for spontaneous moments, and remain submitted to the overall direction of the service. Musical Leadership: Someone who understands music, can communicate effectively with musicians and vocalists, and can serve as a bridge between the band and vocals. They should know how to build a strong worship set, create space for spontaneous moments, and still lead with preparation and structure. Pastoral Leadership: Leads and loves people with spiritual maturity, compassion, integrity, and a genuine pastoral heart. Develops vocalists and musicians, builds healthy teams, and cultivates a worship community where people grow spiritually, relationally, and musically; understanding that worship ministry is not just about producing music, but discipling people. Communication and Conflict Resolution: Communicates clearly, directly, and pastorally. Able to navigate difficult conversations, address tension in a healthy manner, receive feedback without becoming defensive, and bring clarity and unity when conflict arises. Teachable: Leads with humility, self‑awareness, and a willingness to receive feedback, make adjustments, and continue growing personally, spiritually, and professionally. About Century Assembly Century Assembly will celebrate its 100th anniversary in December 2027. Over the decades, the church has developed a remarkable footprint for a congregation in a smaller city. Our 10‑acre campus includes a large worship facility built approximately 40–50 years ago, a 40‑unit independent senior living apartment community, and a former school facility that is now leased to a program serving adults with special needs. While we are rooted in Lodi, our reach extends throughout the surrounding region. When our current Lead Pastor arrived nearly three years ago, the church had approximately 50 people attending. Today, we average around 750 people in person each week, along with approximately 150 households joining us online. Several special services throughout the year have exceeded 1,000 people in attendance. We believe this growth is supernatural, and it has brought new spiritual life, cultural diversity, and momentum to every area of the church. About Lodi Lodi is a unique, family‑oriented city with a small‑town feel, an entrepreneurial spirit, rich spiritual roots, and a growing selection of local restaurants and gathering places. Located in the northern San Joaquin Valley, it offers a strong sense of community while remaining within reach of both Sacramento and the greater Bay Area. Although Century Assembly is located in Lodi, we function more as a regional church, drawing people from throughout San Joaquin and Sacramento counties. Our congregation is significantly more multiethnic and multicultural than the immediate surrounding community, and we believe our church is helping reflect where the region is headed.
