3x12 hour shifts rotating between nights and days.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit will provide specialized care for patients with cardiac and medical telemetry needs. The role includes monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and utilizing advanced telemetry equipment. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a telemetry setting.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, responding to changes as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician's orders.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized patient care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Cerner.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and care plans.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of charge experience in a Telemetry or similar unit.
• Experience with a patient ratio not exceeding 5 to 1.
• Travel experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license in Pennsylvania or compact state license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
