Forklift Driver / Material Handler

Location: Holly Hill, SC

Starting Pay: $25.00/hour Assignment: One-month project assignment

Schedule- Monday-Friday 7am-4pm

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to move, stage, stack, and organize materials
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, containers, and staged freight
• Support inbound/outbound shipments and prep materials for storage or shipment
• Inspect materials for visible damage and report issues
• Follow site safety rules, traffic patterns, and PPE requirements
• Maintain clean and organized work areas; assist with material handling as needed

Qualifications

• Previously certified or experienced forklift drivers only; not a training role
• Prior hands-on sit-down forklift experience required
• Loading/unloading experience preferred
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and safety procedures
• Reliable attendance, transportation, and ability to commit to the full one-month project

Essential Functions

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for portions of the shift.
• Must be able to move and traverse throughout warehouse/yard/loading areas.
• Must be able to position self (bend, stoop, kneel, crouch) to secure loads and inspect freight.
• Must be able to move and transport materials using a forklift and perform general material handling.
• Must be able to communicate with supervisors and coworkers and exchange accurate information.

Work Environment

• Warehouse, storage area, yard, or project logistics setting; indoor and/or outdoor
• Work around trucks, trailers, forklifts, and active equipment traffic
• Noise may be loud; workspaces may not be temperature-controlled; PPE required
